Chris has 18 years’ experience in the stockbroking and funds management industries. Up until February 2018 Chris was a partner and executive director of Sydney based boutique stockbroking and advisory firm Foster Stockbroking Pty Ltd, where he focused on Corporate Finance, specifically managing IPO’s, share placements and other forms of equity funding and advisory. Chris established Foster Capital NZ limited in April 2018.

Prior to joining Foster Stockbroking, he spent 8 years with leading New Zealand real estate fund manager Augusta Capital, which he founded with his brother and current Augusta CEO, Mark Francis.

Chris was integral in growing Augusta from a startup in early 2006 through to a major NZX listed property company. Chris was a substantial shareholder of Augusta prior to his exit in early 2014 to move to Australia to join Foster Stockbroking. Chris gained valuable experience and skills through earlier roles as investment manager at Cranport, an Australian Investment Company, and also as Equities Analyst at Foster Stockbroking (Australia), and prior to that as an Auditor at Ernst & Young (Auckland) after graduating from Auckland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Business in Accounting.
